I have finally finished a little concertina booklet which was started at the Stamperama Art and Craft Show in April on a make and take with the lovely Kate Crane.
On the workshop we were supplied with a Kraft Card outer layer (41/2 x 11 1/2 ins)and a white (4ins x 11 1/2 ins)square card concertina, a Kate Crane stamp, a typed saying and a piece of string for the tie.
We then used gelli plates and made backgrounds with Carabelle texture plates and acrylic paint.
These backgrounds were then cut into 3 1/2 ins squares and I used sewing machine to made a border around the papers before sticking them on the concertina.
For the back of the booklet, I used Dina Wakley papers, used my sewing machine for the highlights and stuck them to the Kraft Card.
I then used the new Carabelle studio art stamps – celebrating 10 years of the company, using the writing stamp for a background on each segment, then coloured the stamps in, fussy cutting them out and used one on each square.
